Area of Concentration information

Areas of Concentration are self-created curricula so that residents can delve into a topic or element of interest within Family Medicine.

The AOC is a way to explore one facet of Family Medicine through literature review, creation of goals and objectives for the AOC, sharing what you have learned with the residency during a short presentation and the ability to switch out 10 of your conti clinic half-day sessions for experiences in line with your AOC.

Please see the official policy below, as well as some examples of previous resident's AOC proposals.

Upon completion of the AOC, you will receive a letter of recognition that can be used as part of your CV for future positions.

Please let any of the leadership team if you have questions about Areas of Concentration.
