MCH Intern Orientation
Welcome to MCH!
Below you will find several things you need to know for your MCH rotation:
Please read the MCH Handbook for more detailed information. It is very important that you read the handbook immediately upon starting your MCH Intern rotation. You will not be able to function at an appropriate level on this rotation without having read it.
Every doctor listed on the MCH Service will appear in QGenda including extra learners.
The Team
The MCH resident schedule can be found on TigerConnect under "Family Medicine - Residents." Your MCH Chief will change after your first week on the rotation. Attendings change weekly (Mon-Thur & Fri-Sun) and their schedules can be found on TigerConnect under "Family Medicine - Maternal & Child Health." MCH attending and Sub-I schedules can also be found in Qgenda.
We also have four FM-OB attendings and four MCH fellows:
Lawrence "Larry" Leeman, MD, MPH - MCH Program Director & FM-OB attending
Francheska "Sevy" Gurule, MD - MCH Fellowship Director & FM-OB attending
Miguel Gonzales, MD - MCH Education Director & FM-OB attending
Jessica "Jessi" Goldstein, MD, - MCH Clinical Director & FM-OB attending
Sandra Rosenfeld-O'Tool, MD - Mother Baby Unit Co-Director & FM-OB Attending
Nicole Yonke, MD, MPH - FM-OB attending
Emily Bender, MD - MCH Fellow
Orli Florsheim, MD - MCH Fellow
Jordan Hoese, MD - MCH Fellow
There is (almost) always an FM-OB attending and MCH fellow on back-up call. Their schedules can also be found on the MCH attending schedule on TigerConnect.
The MCH team can be reached via TigerConnect text.
The MCH Wiki
The MCH Program has its own Maternal, Child, & Reproductive Health wikipage within the UNM Family Medicine residency's wiki workspace. It's listed under "Rotation Info" on the front page of the workspace. It is constantly being updated with new and useful information, including rotation information, provider education, patient education, etc. If you ever find yourself in need of information or forms related to maternal, child, or reproductive health, please check the MCH wiki!
